There's new horsepower on the ground: Gaerne SG22 "Gaerne puts new horsepower on the ground". This is the slogan that accompanies the presentation of the new Gaerne SG.22 motocross boots.

The model, which for the historic company from Treviso, founded 60 years ago by Ernesto Gazzola, represents the natural evolution of the highly regarded SG.12. The English translation of the term "horsepower" refers not only to power, but also to commitment, to strength, to action and the power of decisions. And it is this spirit that has accompanied Gaerne in every phase of the research and development process. Soul, mind and body are focused on one goal: to create high-performance boots capable of combining Made in Italy craftsmanship with the most advanced materials and technical solutions. Every component, every detail of the SG.22 is precisely tuned thanks to this mentality.

▪ The first innovation is the new 3D Main Body Toe Box, which has a three-dimensional structure characterized by a single connecting element located on the outside near the closure lever. This allows to reduce the height between the sole and the derailleur, increasing the speed of gear shifting;
▪ Aluminum super-light buckles;
▪ In addition to the classic strap adjustment, the SG.22 upper closure lever can be adjusted in three positions;
▪ A system that, combined with the two positions guaranteed by the new frontal shin guard, allows for multiple configurations to optimize the fit and allow easy insertion of knee guards;
• Two ventilation holes are dedicated next to the frontal plate to allow air to flow in;
▪ 3D channels are designed to create cavities capable of facilitating the evacuation of moisture and the dissipation of heat. The movement geometry has also been modified so that the boot can better "copy" the movements of the ankle;
▪ The goal of Gaerne technicians is clear: improve ergonomics without sacrificing safety. The newly designed Razorback helps reduce the overall weight of the boot;
▪ Gaerne Dual Stage Pivot System 1.0 protects the ankle with two end switches that limit hyperextension, hyperflexion and lateral movements. Internally, the Memory foam 1.0 has also been redesigned. This injected material takes the shape of the ankle, stabilizing the entire foot, allowing the foot to merge with the boot. The inner leg, which contacts the boot, has Grip Guard 1.0 rubber elements with a compound developed with professional riders. This improves protection and optimizes the friction coefficient for a better riding feel. The sole has dual-density inserts. Their position has been studied to guarantee grip and durability, without forgetting grip and cushioning also when walking. The Microshock heel has a compound of different densities, designed to provide protection against micro-impacts when cornering;
▪ The new Steel Bumper 1.0 toe cap is inserted between the sole and the upper. This steel insert allows for a reduction in thickness, maintaining protection and reducing weight;
▪ Finally, the unmistakable Goodyear Welted construction that distinguishes Gaerne boots according to tradition. This technique allows for an extremely rigid and resistant structure. Durability thus becomes one of the strengths of each product dedicated to motocross.
